Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Toyota Sienna, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the universal seven and four pole wiring kit. You're gonna have a seven pole plug to connect up trailers with brakes and a four pole plug to connect up trailers without brakes. Having both of these options is really nice to have on the back of your vehicle because no matter what trailer you pull up to, you're gonna be able to pull either one of them successfully, whether it's a four pole or a seven pole. The four pole is going to give you your basic functions. That will be your running lights, your left turn, your right turn, and your stop signal. more

If you need to add a seven-way tow plug on the back of your Toyota van and it did not come with a factory tow option, then check out Etrailer's ETBC7 Kit that we installed in our 2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. Now the ETBC7 Kit is going to allow you to have both a seven-way RV style plug in the back and a four-way flat plug in the back. It's gonna come with wiring, circuit breakers, everything you need to install a brake controller on your Toyota. Now it's a little involved when it comes to wiring this up, but we can show you step by step how to get it installed If you wanna see how we did it, stick around. Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the universal installation kit for trailer brake controllers here on a 2011 Toyota Sienna. So this kit here is gonna be a perfect option for all you see Sienna owners there who have larger trailers with electric brakes and or an onboard battery because if we know a little bit about trailers, trailers that have electric brakes and or an onboard battery require a 7-way trailer connector. Now the most common trailer connector for this vehicle is a 4-way. There's actually some plug and play options. Now you will still need one of those to install this kit but where this kit comes into play is this kit is actually gonna adapt the 4-way. It's gonna use all those circuits that are already on the vehicle and adapt that to the 7-way we need for our larger trailer. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2000 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2000 Toyota Sienna, we'll be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part number 90885. We'll be installing this in conjunction with the etrailer Brake Controller install kit, part number ETBC7. Starting with our install kit here at the back of the vehicle, we're going to mount the new 7-pole bracket to our new 7 and 4-pole trailer connector. We'll use the bolts and nuts provided with our install kit to secure the bracket to the trailer connector. Once we have the hardware installed finger tight, we'll go ahead and run it down. To assist in mounting our trailer connector to the vehicle, we're going to use the Tow Ready No Drill Mounting Bracket, part number 18140. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2005 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2005 Toyota Sienna, we'll be installing the etrailer ETBC7 brake controller install kit part number ETBC7. Along with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller and it's part number 90885. We'll be adding this to a vehicle that's already equipped with a hitch and 4-Pole flat wiring harness. To start, we'll first go ahead and assemble the 7-Pole adapter bracket. With the hardware provided, we'll use it to attach the bracket to the 7-Pole adapter. We'll go ahead and take the bracket and feed it over the wires and up to the back of the mounting surface for the 7-Pole adapter. Then we'll take the screws, feed them through the front side of the 7-Pole and secure it with the nuts on the backside. more
